Starting from August 2005, significant increase in orders from the Group乫s customers is expected to exert pressure on its production capacity.
Following the accreditation by Samsung in April 2005, Gemini Electronics (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. (乬Gemini乭) has also been accredited as a qualified supplier by Sankyo Seiki on 2 August 2005. Sankyo Seiki is a well-established company based in Japan, which primarily produces the motors for electrical appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, sound boxes, washing machines, DVD players, games consoles, digital cameras and video cameras. It has 7 manufacturing plants in the U.S., Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Dongguan Shilong, Fuzhou and Shao Guan, with over 10,000 employees around the world. With effect from 2 August 2005, Gemini will commence full scale bulk production services to Sankyo Seiki.At present,Gemini has pass Japan Sony PS3 sample certification through Nidec-sankyo,Gemini willprovide mass production for new PS3 launched by Sony.
In June 2005, Shuangxiang (Fujian) Electronics Ltd. (乬Shuangxiang乭) installed two Sony high-speed production lines and the two production lines have since commenced bulk production of portable DVD players for Malata (Fujian) Co. Ltd. (乬Fujian Malata乭), after completing the initial trial run. Fujian Malata, which has 10 wholly-owned subsidiaries and employs almost 6,000 employees, is one of the more renowned consumer electronics manufacturers in China. Recently, Shuangxiang received the first order of 10,000 units of portable DVD players from Fujian Malata with a 3-day delivery deadline, and this has exerted some pressure on Shuangxiang乫s existing production capacity.
